I got published!
Yep. In the school newsletter! Annndddd I completely count this as a wonderful start to a great career. About a month ago I was approached and asked to write a piece for the summer newsletter put out by my college. This was literally a week after I hosted that seminar that no one came to. It’s so true – continue to think positively and something else will be drawn to you. And it was. I was thrilled to be able to write about something I am passionate about: media deception. Fats have always been portrayed as the bad guys and get blamed for raising your cholesterol. Now I’m not telling all of you guys to go out and gnaw on a piece of butter but why don’t you click on this summer’s edition of “The Vine” and find out why I eat butter on my oatmeal (Page 5).
Don’t be afraid to speak out against what society considers normal or true. A lie is a lie no matter how hard you defend it and a Truth is a Truth no matter how much you deny it. I was hesitant to write an article like this but I am proud of standing up and speaking out. We do not need to vilify fats; we need to understand our body and feed accordingly. Enjoy my friends!
